Privacy Policy

What we store

• Your account: name, email and password. The password is stored hashed, so nobody can read it, us included.
• Your expenses: name, type, amount, quantity and date of everything you add.
• Your settings: currency, timezone, number format and monthly budget.
• Server logs: like every website, our servers briefly log requests, including your IP address, to keep Stekko running and secure.

We don't use analytics, ad trackers or tracking cookies, and we don't access your contacts, photos or location.

On your device

The app keeps your login and your language choice on your device, so you stay logged in and see the language you picked. Logging out removes the login.

Why we store it

Only to run Stekko for you: show your expenses, budget and reports, and let you log in from any device.

Who else sees it

• Nobody we sell or give it to. Your data isn't sold, shared or used for ads.
• Our hosting provider (Railway) runs the servers and database your data is stored on.
• An exchange rate service is asked for today's rates when you convert or preview currencies. Only currency codes are sent, never your expenses or anything about you.

We'd only hand over data if the law required us to.

How it's protected

All traffic between the apps and our servers is encrypted with HTTPS, passwords are hashed and each account can only see its own expenses.

How long we keep it

As long as you have an account. When you delete it, your data is deleted immediately, and copies in our backups are removed within 30 days as old backups expire.

Your choices

• See and change your data any time in the app, and download it as a PDF report from Reports.
• Delete your account and all your data from Settings. Here's how.

Children

Stekko isn't meant for children under 13, and we don't knowingly store their data.

Changes

If we change this policy in a way that matters, we'll update the date at the top.
